Bridges brings healthy living to south Niagara

Bridges Community Health Care Centre is one of Ontario's seventy-three community based health care centres.  Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, they utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering health care to local communities.

Although many services are open to anyone, Bridges CHC specializes in providing support to of individuals and families with low incomes, newcomers to Canada, seniors, children and youth.

Bridges offers the services of doctors, nurses (NPs and RNs), physiotherapists, social workers, dietitions and other professionals.  Although many of these services are reserved to rostered patients of the Health Care Centre, there are many programs offered to the general public.

Some programs that may be beneficial to Parkinsons patients and caregivers includes:  Caregiver Support Network, Chronic Pain Support Group, Demystifying Depression Workshop, Mindful Living Program and others.

Each Community Health Care Centre services a specific geographical area.  Bridges serves the south Niagara communities of Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainfleet.
